Introduction to Construction Technology and Project Site Practices

This interesting course introduces various construction technology that will enable participants to appreciate the stages of work on-site.  The course leader will commence touching on the stages of project development ie planning, design, tender and construction.

Current building codes and concepts will be addressed to enable non-engineer to understand project risks better. Different project development ie. infrastructure, buildings and plants will be looked into to identify complex construction issues. The upcoming High Speed Railway from KL to Singapore project will be used as a case study for construction implementation review exercise.

  • Understand the way projects are planned and developed.
  • Learn how the contract is tendered and why the lowest tender may not secure the project.
  • Government contracts and forms of contracts.
  • How insurances come into application in such projects.
